Heavy cotton is sturdy, but to keep the white print crisp against the colorful background, follow these steps:
Cold wash only: use cold water on a delicate cycle to prevent the pink dye from migrating into the white pattern.
Avoid bleach: never use bleach or harsh chemicals, as they will damage the natural cotton fibers and the block print.
Air dry: lay flat or line dry in a shaded area. Do not tumble dry, as high heat can shrink canvas and distort the quilting.
Ironing: use a high steam setting if the cotton feels stiff after washing; this will soften the fibers and restore its shape.
